I’m working with a well-established Lancashire based manufacturing business. Never wanting to stand still having built a worldwide recognisable brand over the last 50 years of trading, my client wants to employ forward-thinking Sales Coordinators to help them reach the next significant stage of their growth and development.

Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Manager, you will actively sell and promote my client’s extensive portfolio of products.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Coordinator:

  • Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients using desk based selling techniques.
  • Process orders by phone, web and email.
  • Proactively sell and generate quality sales leads for field sales colleagues (i.e. selling offers/promotions).
  • Conduct market research as required.
  • Make outbound sales prospecting calls and develop all sales opportunities.
  • Place orders in the correct manner ensuring payment is taken correctly.
  • Answer all sales calls professionally and efficiently and deal with customer/ potential customer requests for information.
  • Process orders and to ensure that all orders are dispatched with 100% accuracy and invoiced within the agreed delivery framework.
  • Work to mutually agreed KPIs and help the sales team meet and exceed targets.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, including prompt dealing with customer complaints or concerns.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing and Production Departments to ensure that stock is at suitable levels and liaise with all other departments to ensure orders are fulfilled within the required timeframe.
  • Expedite/progress orders with Despatch.
  • Establish and maintain a customer record system.

Key requirements of the Sales Coordinator:

  • You must have some previous sales experience, ideally telephone based sales.
  • You will enjoy and thrive in a target-based sales environment.
  • You will be a confident team player with excellent communication skills.
  • You will pride yourself on delivering first class customer service.
  • You will be highly organised, punctual and be able to juggle multiple demands and customer queries.
