Are you a HR Business Partner looking for a new challenge and the autonomy to really add value in a business? Do you have experience within the Logistics and Manufacturing sector? If so, I’d be keen to hear from you.
Reporting into the Head of HR, you will assist with shaping and implementing the people strategy. You will partner with business leaders, helping to build and maintain a strong organisational culture, ensuring the business attracts and retains talent, optimising organisational design, and supporting line managers and the HR team with complex employee relations matters.
If you are a strong HR Generalist with experience of leading on projects to improve employee benefits and incentives, devise talent management strategies including graduate schemes and utilising the apprenticeship levy, roll out a Recruitment Strategy that is used across the business (including coaching managers) and drive D&I within a business then this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Business Partner:

  • Supporting the Head of HR in terms of driving the people strategy.
  • Partner with managers to ensure an effective generalist HR service
  • Ensure the recruitment processes allows the business to attract and select the best talent on the market.
  • Design and maintain onboarding processes from new starter to competency and beyond
  • Create, manage and monitor apprenticeships/graduate schemes
  • Take responsibility for management and leadership development
  • Support with introduction of employee benefits
  • Identify and encourage career path opportunities
  • Support with complex employee relations issues
  • Monitor people metrics, take actions and escalate where necessary

Key requirements of the HR Business Partner:

  • CIPD qualified preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar role is essential; ideally a strong HR Generalist with Business Partnering skills, able to lead on projects and devise strategy.
  • Logistics/warehousing experience would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of managing cultural change and embedding values into a business
  • Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Desire to make a difference and contribute towards continuous improvement
  • Understanding of HR best practice
  • Working knowledge of employment law
