Based at Head Office in Wigan with occasional travel to further UK sites
Medlock Partners are proud to be partnering with a highly reputable and successful nationwide manufacturing business in identifying an experienced senior HR professional for their new Head of HR opportunity.
Managing and supporting a team of HR and Learning & Development practitioners, you will be responsible for driving HR strategy and aligning it with key business objectives.
Reporting into the Executive Board team your main responsibilities will be to develop workplace culture, organisational structure and employee engagement. In addition, you will provide a ‘hands on’ approach to advice and support to senior managers on all staff matters including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, employee relations and performance management as well as the delivery of HR operations across a number of UK sites.

Key requirements for the Head of HR:
- You will be an experienced ‘hands on’ HR leader with previous experience managing, supporting and mentoring a HR team.
- Ideally you will have previously worked with similar industries, including manufacturing, engineering or construction, however this is not essential for you to be considered for this role.
- Experience of developing and implementing HR strategy in a commercial setting.
- Ideally you will be fully CIPD qualified.
- You will have the experience to apply HR principles and policy to align with commercial objectives and pride yourself on your ability to work in an agile setting.
- You will be a strong stakeholder manager and be able to build and rapport with a wide range of senior leaders.
