A person who uses a matchmaking service to connect her with prospective matches around the world is known as a mail-order wedding. Many people may find the process strange and outrageous, but for some it’s a way of lifestyle that allows them to escape poverty and establish a new life for themselves and their families.

The Violence against women Act of 2019 (vawa ) is currently up for discussion in Congress, and it needs to be renewed to give mail order bride brides the necessary protections. However, preventing any kind of abuse against any woman is a crucial goal that can be attained by providing better education to those seeking such relationships and by raising the standard of care offered to them.
