I am Partnering with a leading Property and Construction Law Firm based in London, currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Associate to join their esteemed team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work alongside an impressive Partner, contributing to the success of our Construction Team within the larger Property Team.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload encompassing both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Draft tailored documents, letters, and correspondence to meet the individual needs of our clients.
  • Correspond with clients and opposing solicitors, attending meetings and negotiating with opposing parties.
  • Provide support to the supervising partner as required.
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities and cultivate relationships with clients and potential clients.
  • Undertake administrative tasks including timely completion of timesheets and billing in accordance with firm guidelines.
  • Stay updated with changes and developments in the law through continuous learning and professional development activities.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • Extensive experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction work, including drafting and negotiating construction documentation and handling adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and/or litigation.
  • Familiarity with the Building Safety Fund and Developer Remediation Contract is desirable.
  • Exceptional drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
  • Proven track record in business development and ability to generate new work; a small following would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the construction team and across other practice groups within the firm, effectively delegating tasks where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated judgment, decision-making skills, and resilience.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
