We are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in Manchester city centre, seeking a talented Construction Lawyer to join their highly regarded Construction team. This firm offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment and is committed to fostering the professional growth of its lawyers.

You will be joining a thriving Construction team that works with substantial regional and national clients across a variety of sectors. The role involves handling a broad range of construction and engineering matters, with a mix of both non-contentious and contentious work. The firm is looking for an Associate, Senior Associate, or Partner who is eager to contribute to the continued development of this key practice area.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated construction lawyer who is passionate about delivering practical, commercially focused advice to clients. The role offers a clearly defined career path, opportunities for personal development, and the chance to build strong relationships across the firm.

  • Provide legal advice on a variety of construction matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
  • Advise clients on key areas of construction law, including standard forms of Building Contract.
  • Offer practical, commercially minded advice that is easily understood by lay clients.
  • Manage relationships with clients and support junior members of the team.
  • Work closely with team partners while also fostering relationships across the firm.
  • Participate in business development activities, including cross-selling services to colleagues in other practice areas.

The ideal candidate will have.

  • Qualified lawyer with experience in construction law, preferably with a mix of non-contentious and contentious experience.
  • Strong knowledge of key areas of construction law, including standard forms of Building Contract.
  • Excellent drafting skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide pragmatic advice.
  • Experience managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members.
  • A drive for business development and marketing to clients.
  • Strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
